Travel writer, photographer, content producer.
Hi, I’m Shaun.
I’m a travel writer and photographer, working at the intersection of travel, culture and adventure.
I’ve written for National Geographic Traveller, Lonely Planet, Get Lost, Outdoor, Jetstar Magazine, WOW, RACQ Magazine, New Zealand Cycling Journal, Scoot Magazine, Flightcentre.com.au, The Journal by Intrepid, World Nomads, Travelassociates.com and AWOL.
I’ve been curious about other countries and cultures ever since I was a kid, I guess because of my upbringing. As a child of immigrant parents to Australia, I’ve always been conscious of my European roots. Growing up, I’d find myself drawn to foreign films and TV shows, fascinated by these different worlds, and I’d wonder: what would it feel like to live there?; what would people do in their free time?; would the air smell any different? Now in my 30s, I’m still just as curious.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Philosophy and Sociology) and a Post Graduate Diploma (Research) in Media & Communications from Monash University.
